Watch Me Grow Butterfly: by Lisa Magloff, Non-fiction

This book was very informative about how a caterpillar turns into a butterfly. It starts out talking about the different parts of a butterfly and their purpose. Then the book goes through each stage of the butterflies’ life beginning with egg laying, egg hatching, the caterpillar growing, the caterpillar inside the chrysalis, and lastly the butterfly coming out of the chrysalis. I thought this book was very informative but also easy to understand. I would use this in the classroom in science to talk about the life cycles of different animals. This book could also be used to talk about the different parts that animals have and their purpose.
