This was an interesting story to read about a little Chinese girl who believes that the fortunes found in the fortune cookies she eats really do come true. At the beginning her whole family eats fortune cookies and goes around telling what their fortune is. As the story goes on the little girl sees how each member of her family’s fortune comes true. The little girl begins to see the world in fortune cookie fortunes but wonders if she will always be able to see the world this way. This book would be good to use in a classroom to expose students to other cultures.
